Amarillo’s Buc-ee’s Gets a Bold New Look

Blank Spaces, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing youth access to the arts in the Amarillo area, has recently completed its 96th project—a vibrant mural at the local Buc-ee’s location. This initiative reflects Blank Spaces’ commitment to community beautification and providing young artists with opportunities to engage in large-scale public art projects.

The organization offers young artists the chance to collaborate with professional artists on mural installations, manage a local art gallery, and lead civic beautification efforts in Amarillo and surrounding communities. Through these experiences, participants develop skills in various aspects of mural painting, including client collaboration, concept design, material selection, technique application, budget management, and artwork preservation.

This latest mural at Buc-ee’s not only adds a splash of color to the establishment but also serves as a testament to the talent and dedication of the young artists involved. By investing in the creative development of area students, Blank Spaces continues to cultivate the importance of the arts in the Texas Panhandle, enriching the community’s cultural landscape.
