The FireAid benefit concerts last Thursday are estimated to have raised over $100 million to support recovery efforts in Los Angeles thanks to donations, ticket sales, sponsorships, and merchandise sales.
FireAid streamed across 28 platforms for free where you could watch performances from 30 artists like Green Day, Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga, Pink, Billie Eilish, No Doubt, and a surprise Nirvana reunion. If you missed and it and have 6 hours to spare, you can watch it HERE.
There’s also a 90-track benefit album dropping Friday for only 24 HOURS. It’s called “Good Music to Lift Los Angeles” and it’ll be available at Bandcamp.com starting at 12:00 a.m. Pacific for $20.25.
It’s a mix of previously unreleased music like new songs, covers, remixes, and demos. The GRAMMYs also raised money during Sunday’s broadcasting resulting in a grand total of $125 million.
